December 2025

What’s New?

What’s New?

Happy Holidays!  It is hard to believe that it is already December!  The students have adjusted well and are learning a great deal!   Please don’t forget to work on your child zipping and putting coats on with your children.  Please do not forget to send in unwrapped gifts to help our family in need.  Your help is truly appreciated.  All gifts are due by Wednesday, December 17th.

Curriculum

This month, we will be learning about holiday traditions, Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa, comparing stories,  characters in stories, continuing to talk about how to be kind, how to wait our turn, raising hand to answer, how to join in play and feelings.   We will finish up learning about lowercase letters and start uppercase letters, learn about the season of winter, community helpers and in math counting and comparing numbers to 10, patterning and counting sets up to 10.

What’s Needed?

A letter went home yesterday for our good deed tree which is on our bulletin board.  Please don’t forget to write on an ornament when your child does a good deed or helps at home.  Have your child color it and then send it in for our tree. Thank you! Please consider sending in unwrapped items for our adopted family for the holidays if you are able to.  All items should be in by Wednesday,  December 17th.  If you need another copy of the letter, please let me know.  We could use a donation of hot chocolate and fruit for Tuesday, December 23rd for polar express day.  Please let me know if you can help with this.  Thank you! Please send in hats and mittens for your child on the cold days as we try to get out whenever we can.  Also if your child has extra clothes kept here at school and they are from warmer weather, please send in warmer clothes in the event that your child has an accident, spills, etc.   I hope you all have wonderful and relaxing holidays.  Thank you for your constant help, thoughtfulness, and support.  It is much appreciated!  Wishing you all a healthy and happy new year!   As always if there are any questions and/or concerns, please let me know.

Other Information…

We make every effort to take children outside while we still can.  Please also know that the classroom is very warm, this time of year.  If you would like to send in a water bottle for your child to keep at school, you may do so.  But please be sure to label the bottle with your child’s name on it.  Please send in an extra outfit for your child to keep at school.  Please make sure the outfit is a complete set including socks, underwear, shirt, and pants and that it is put in a labeled bag with your child’s name on it.  Please make sure the take home folder is brought to school everyday as we put important notices and information in there daily.   Please remind your child if they are hot or cold lunch daily.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me at (508) 347-7041 X3101 or email me at czechl@tantasqua.org.  Thank you!
